Training the Trainers is a series of 11 booklets which has been designed as the basic text for a pilot project offering training for professional filmmakers entering filmschools as visiting tutors or teachers.

The series forms a unique, easy-to-read guide encompassing all the complex specialisations that are taught in schools of film and television. Although a number of schools issue brief guidelines for incoming teachers, this series represents the first compilation drawn from interviews, memos, notes, handouts and lecture notes. It is the collective wisdom of past practice and present policy, offered for the future enhancement of teaching/learning experience.
