One-year study programme in Sport

Sports are more than training. Students who choose to study sports at LillehammerUniversityCollege will learn about the role and function of sports in society in addition to acquire more knowledge of training.

The aim of the programme is for the students to acquire knowledge of different aspects of sports, from its social significance to what it means for the individual to do sports and physical activity. During the programme, the students should learn to organise and arrange sports activities for different target groups. Furthermore, they should be able to carry out training sessions with focus on different basic skills.

The courses can be taken in the order which suits the student best. This is especially relevant for those who wish to take the programme over a longer period of time. Students who do top-level sports will probably find this relevant.

All courses are compulsory. The courses can be taken in the order which suits the student best. This is especially relevant for those who wish to take the programme over a longer period of time, e.g. top-level sports students.

Further education: The one-year programme corresponds to the first academic year of the Bachelor’s degree programme in Sport. If students want to continue when the one-year programme is completed, they may apply for admission to the Bachelor’s degree programme. The programme can also be combined with other programmes and be included in a Bachelor’s degree.

Study period abroad: Not possible in one-year programmes.
