Research group Innovation processes in the private service industries

The subject of the research is drivers of innovation in private service enterprises as well as the economic outcome of innovation processes. The concept drivers include both internal drivers within enterprises (organisational level) and external drivers, and the interplay between internal and external drivers.

Internal drivers may e.g. include strategy, management, organization of innovation, knowledge processes and employees (employee-driven innovations).

Some important external drivers are the institutional frameworks, economic conditions, public funding agencies, external relations and systemic features, and customers (user-driven innovations).

The research group is also concerned with the basic understanding of service innovation, taxonomies and  measurement of innovation.
