Teaching and research are organised in four academic units:

• Faculty of Health and Social Work
• Faculty of Social Sciences
• Faculty of Television Production and Film Studies
• The Norwegian Film School

Centre for Continuing Education was established in 1990 as a support unit for faculty engaged in developing distance education courses or using flexible computer assisted teaching and learning methods.

The Centre now serves both the university college and external institutions and has achieved a recognised position within Norwegian distance education. See brochure in English
